Preceding the 4th Annual Evolution of the Athlete Coach Education Conference, UQ Sport will be hosting a series of seminars offering teachers, industry professionals, coaches, students and athletes the opportunity to learn from experts in the fields of strength & conditioning, training, sports psychology, sports science, recovery and fatigue.
UQ Sport through its alignment with The School of Human Movement Studies is able to attract a range of presenters who are highly regarded in their field to ensure participants are receiving the best possible information and strategies to improve their skills.
Seminar 1: Pre-Season Preparation
Want to get the best out of your athletes and ensure they are at the best level of fitness for the start of their competition? Hear from experts on effective pre-season training techniques, the importance of pre-season training, and principles of training. This is a must for coaches and athletes who want to start and finish on the top of the competition ladder.

Seminar 2: Recovery & Fatigue
This seminar will delve into the psychological monitoring of recovery and the challenges and issues for coaches and sports scientists. Industry experts will provide valuable insight on this topic and provide practical strategies so you can recognise, monitor and deal with fatigue and recovery so your athletes maintain optimal performance.

Seminar 3: Preparing for a Major Competition: The Commonwealth Games
Our presenters will aim to provide insight on the important role psychological skills play in preparation for competition; strategies you can use to increase consistency in performance; various training adaptations that will increase performance; and the physical development of an athlete entering into a major competition phase.
