Media registration information
To request a media pass for Evolution of the Athlete, please contact Kayleen Allen at UQ Sport on +61 7 3365 6034. Media passes are limited and are granted only to working journalists who intend to cover the event. You will be required to provide media credentials as detailed below to justify your application. Submitting links to recent articles or reports you have written is highly recommended in your application.
If your request for a media pass is approved, you will receive an email message from the conferences publicist, usually within a week.
A media pass provides access to the conference sessions and admission to both the welcome function and Conference dinner. Private working facilities for the media can also be provided on request.
Media are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. If you are approved for a media pass and you have special needs, please be sure to let us know your specific requirements at least four weeks before the conference begins.
Media required credentials
To qualify for a complimentary media pass for Evolution of the Athlete, the applicant must cover the industry on a regular basis by writing regular reports or publishing articles on related coach education or professional development issues. Review the credential requirements below, and then contact us with your application.
Credential requirements
An online news outlet must contain original news content above and beyond links, forums, troubleshooting tips, and reader contributors, and it must have a readership of over 5,000 per month. Each news outlet must have a paid reporting staff of two or more and must post original, dated, industry-related news at least once per week.
Association publications/newsletters
Reporters from internationally recognized magazines, newspapers, or newsletters produced by industry associations must provide an article published within the past six months. Newsletter reporters must have a registered subscriber base of at least 5,000.
Freelance writers and authors
Persons requesting freelance credentials must provide an article published within the past six months or a letter of assignment from a qualifying editor or publication. Those who freelance occasionally and are employed by non-news organizations are not eligible for media credentials.
We reserve the right to refuse media passes, without cause, during pre-registration as well as on-site media registration. Please be advised that, due to high demand, media passes are limited in number and are reserved for commercial news outlets.
